Supporting Pets. Empowering People. Strengthening Communities.
The Four Legs and Fur Foundation is a charitable animal health organization located in Humboldt County that provides financial assistance to owners of critically ill companion animals by underwriting emergency veterinary medical or surgical costs incurred for animals which would not otherwise have access to urgent, lifesaving veterinary care.
Four Legs & Fur Foundation exists to strengthen the bond between people and their companion animals by removing barriers to veterinary care, supporting animal welfare organizations, promoting responsible pet ownership, and building collaborative partnerships that improve the well-being of animals and the communities they serve.
We envision a future where every companion animal has access to compassionate care, every family has the resources to keep beloved pets healthy and at home, and animal welfare organizations work together through strong partnerships to build healthier, more resilient communities.
We believe the best rescue is the one that never becomes necessary. By helping families access veterinary care, promoting responsible pet ownership, supporting rescue organizations, expanding foster and volunteer networks, and strengthening community partnerships, we can prevent suffering before it begins and create lasting solutions for companion animals.
